Thanks! Her boots are from the 'Intelligent Tweaker,' a clothing store in Seattle specializing in "alternative and counter cultural wear for the informed geek."

The year 2104...a LOT has happened between now and then. World is a different place :)

LOL I have a funny story about a place like that, but its pretty long. I'll hold off, or think of a way to shorten it.

My scifi setting in only in the year 2028. I really need to change that, even though some of what I envision is not so improbable when you imagine how much technology has changed just since WW2.

2028 Isn't that bad. I like near-future sci-fi stuff. Although it's usually called Cyberpunk (which really needs to be a topic for one of the Zine issues :)

Oh, here's a little "i of the Storm" pic called "Look Into My Eye."

I'm still developing the i of the Storm plot, even though I'm probably not gonna do anything with it until Nexus 40 is over with.

I specifically stay away from the Cyberpunk title for Earth 2028. I use speculative fiction if I have to, but the real dystopians of the setting arent the tech savvy kids we thought they would be, they are the genetic engineered cast offs of corporations and militaries the world over. Sure there is a lot of cyberpunk elements, but the setting is more about personal horror and science gone mad than socio-political angst. That is there of course, but its focused on the body, not the 'net.

Earth 2028 is something I have put some time into, but have never gotten a singular title I like. Instead I have several game plans.

2028: Neptune Project- set beneath the waves, this setting is more about exploration and redemtion, for its heros and the world.

2028: Neon Apocalypse is set in the sprawling wasteland left in our worlds cities after years of terrible war. Those who remain eke out an existence in a world where things are someties worse than they appear.

2028: OpCentre (spelled that way purposfully) is a rule book for tactical manuevers of rogue agents, military SpecOps teams, and corporate wetworks squads.

2028: Mindseye Project explores emergent psi technology, and questions why this evolved now?

2028: Dataspike is all about your typical cyberpunker. Great fun.

2028: Tomorrow is Now is idealy suited for a more heroic bent campaign, dealing with proactive changes to the worlds status quo. These are the good guys, who fight the good fight.

That's cool. I never really liked where the masses took Cyberpunk anyway. Originally it was more about the changes in society revolving around sudden leaps in technology, as well as corporations with increasing power the world over.

William Gibson is one of my favorite authors, and I tend to refer back to him for "true cyberpunk" stuff.

Gibson is wonderful, and thanks to him we have the genre (even if he did type it on a manual typewriter in a cabin somewhere!). My new favorite is Neal Stephenson, who wrote Snowcrash. Its brilliant, and I think it takes it back where it belongs.

I like this one bestest! Original and full of new opportunities! What is the redemption part about?
