Hey, what do you guys think of this idea for a campain:
The multiverse is really just an amalganation of all the words that have ever been written. Each plane is a seperate world from a seperate series, such as "Dragonlance Land", "Forgotten Realms Land", "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" land, etc. But only a select few, those from the prime material plane, know this.
The characters work for a man called the "Pagemaster". Thier job is to visit all these lands, and covertly "help the plot along", either by creating trouble that spawns key parts of the plot in whatever book, or by smoothing over some of the loose ends that the "real heroes" dont finish.
IE, they would be tasked to move a shipment of Shire Pipeweed to Isenguard, so that Merry and Pippen can find it and it can become a plot forshadowing. The characters, although never recognized by the books, would be heros for the prime material plane, whose existance relys on fixing plot holes, dificulties, and inconsistancies. Plus, i can blatantly steal from movies. In fact, i could show the movie in game, as a sort of "This is what you have to fix" briefing.
