Outwar-wise, I'm currently amusing myself by beating on Yost; a while back he attacked me a few times, but now I just beat him down repeatedly and steal all his money ;)

Hows' the Hive?

Thanks Tallarn! I think I used all my attacks for now but I appreciate it! :D

Oh by the way, I'm thinking of (slightly) houseruling the paladin. Don't worry, it's a minor improvement I think. Nerfs clerics slightly though. More details soon. :D

Hey 'fex!

Beating on people in Outwar, thanks! Yost, eh? I might have to look him up!

BTW, having subsidiary characters that just live to hit people are great fun. Captain Cabbage, my monster, just wanders about hitting our enemies, but has no defense. :D *shrug* I DON'T CARE!

Tallarn is the only character I actually worry about...and he's WICKED SMAAAAART!

Hey 'fex!

Whut? Houseruling you say? *ears prick up* In what way...?

Tallarn is saving up time and money to beat on our big enemies, rather unfortunately our Enemy#1 is too weak for me to attack these days :) :) :D :p

Can anyone help me with modding the paladin class?

In my Acrozatarim game, the sorceress Melisande is going to start taking levels of paladin, but not of a LG god; instead of the chaotic god Naskha, who has leaning towards good from neutral.

Now, you may ask how you can be a LG paladin of a CG god, but hey, it has been well rationalised in-game, and I don't want to use the CG paladin-a-like from Defenders of the Faith, since Melisande's alignment and the concepts she's putting import on are LG ones.

However, the basic paladin class doesn't quite work for Naskha. He is called the Great Sorcerer, after all, and I aws wanting to change some (but not all) abilities from ones I don't think suit Naskha to more magic-based stuff, for instance replacing the cure disease ability with something more appropriate.

Any ideas?

The general idea is to do away with some of the class features in return for divine channelling. You get a number of channelling attempts equal to 3 + Cha bonus. You can use each attempt for:

Turning undead
Spontaneous casting of cure/inflict spells (clerics only)
Lay on hands (paladins only)
Smite evil (paladins only)

Plus paladins get a better Will save.

Hmmmm...for me, the Paladin Is The Paladin. So what you're talking about sounds like a PrC...hmmm, change Cure Disease to Dispel Magic maybe? that's the first thought that comes off the top of my head...
