Oh wow, just looking on the World of Warcraft stuff on Blizzard's web page, and saw the dragonspawn in the bestiary

The general idea is to do away with some of the class features in return for divine channelling. You get a number of channelling attempts equal to 3 + Cha bonus. You can use each attempt for:

Turning undead
Spontaneous casting of cure/inflict spells (clerics only)
Lay on hands (paladins only)
Smite evil (paladins only)

Plus paladins get a better Will save.

I can't remember the details off-hand, but Monte Cook's Book of Hallowed Might has options for NG and CG paladins, basically subbing out some of their powers for others. I believe the NG had the capability to summon a NG creature to assist him. If I find more details, I can send them to you.

Oh, also Detect Evil becomes an Evil Sense. Always on, but the paladin can resume (free action) or suppress it (standard action) at will.
