Bringing a bale of hay to the sheep was all the ambition for outdoor work I could muster.

I know what you mean. I am SOOO glad I got my barn chores done on Thanksgiving. Not a day I would have wanted to be out in the wind and snow scooping out bunny trays.

It looks funny. I'm used to the black and charcoal scheme. The white and grey is pretty cool though. The only thing is that the posts seem to blend together. The grey bar seperating them is helpful, but the posts shouldbe slightly different shades of white I think.

Hi Hivers.

YAY! Tomorrow starts the "Isles of Adventure" campaign, a superheroesque AU/FCtF game set in an archipelago that was once the seat of a mighty empire.

I'm gonna love running this thing.

Good afternoon hive.

How is everyone's day going?
I have a question to ponder....

Have any of you ever witnessed and engagement? Other than your own I mean.
Like, when the question is acually popped, its done in public.

I only ask because at my inlaws thanksgiving my husbands cousin got engaged. Her boyfriend asked her parents first when she was out of the room. THen we all told what we were thankful for and he was last and he asked her to marry him, with the ring and all, with all of us watching.
I, oddly enough felt uncomfortable. Like I was watching something very intimate.
They have been dating for quite a while and they live togehter so we all knew she would say yes. I dont know, I am glad that when my husband asked me we were alone.

I think I did, during my freshman year at Middlesex County College; it was down in the stacks in the library; alas, they were in a study room(which are closed but have glass windows) so I didn't hear the dialogue, but the guy was down on one knee.

Oddly, didn't make me uncomfortable, but then again, it was one of the most normal things I've seen going past those booths; they seemed to attract the freaks.

Never seen it happen, But I wonder if you when someone asks you, How can you say no without the whole crowd jumping on your case?

:D

And can you imagine how awkward the rest of the meal would have been if she had said "No". And Maldur is right, that was way, way too much pressure to put on someone, even if she was inclined to say yes.

On the other hand, it was nice that he felt so comfortable around the rest of you in this special and rather intimate moment. But at next year's Thanksgiving, if he goes to put a tape of the wedding night in the VCR to share that special intimate moment I'd stop him if I were you.
