No because I'm in the middle of a paragon campaign which borrows heavily from the 3.X 'red hand of doom' and will continue by folding in some of the 'scales of war' stuff at epic. In essence i'm already playing it
No way! Of course, the fact that I haven't been part of a gaming group for quite some time might have something to do with that. Not that I'm very fond of the Realms or Adventure Paths anyway.
I bought it a couple days ago, with the PHB, and I'm impressed with the publishing quality. I'm not a fan of the Realms but for an opening adventure to a new rule set I'm ok with that, my players have played the video games and have some feel for the setting.
Yes, definitely. I'm taking a break from behind the DM screen for the first time in a few years and our new DM is ready to run it in three weeks (after we wrap up the starter set adventure---or "pre season" as we're calling it).
I'm a Realms fan so I will get it but I won't be running it because I simply don't like the Tiamat-flavoured plot (and not just because I am tired of Tiamat). I will, however, steal great chunks of it for my 4E games.
