D&D General Tier Rankings of the main D&D Campaign Adventures

Radiant Citadel didn't do it for me. The basi set ups kinda cool but the Citadel seems more Pkanescape. None of the adventures have stood out and grabbed me espically vs Candkekeep or Golden Vault.

Golden Vault semi recent addition for me. B+ ran one and several other adventures look interesting. Would put it above candlekerp Mysteries(B).

Radiant Citadel isn't bad as such it just doesn't interest me. Cost me $15 or $20 usd so not to worried about it. Low opportunity cost. I'll probably need to have another look.

Generally the anthologies are better than the APs. Saltmarsh is probably my favorite. Golden Vault might nudge out Yawning Portal but about a draw atm.

B+ GoS, GV
B TotYP
B-Candlekeep
C+ Radiant Citadel

Hard to rate Wild Beyond Witchlight. Bought it doesn't interest me either.

I don't have Golden Vault and Radiant Citadel.

How do they compare to the other 3 anthologies? Radiant Citadel art was a turn off tbh.
Golden Vault is very good IMHO. The adventures are linked both by the Vault itself but also by the general theme of the Far Realm that runs though it which could easily be expanded on. I don’t love every adventure in it but the ones that are great are really great and makes up for the ones that are simply ok.

I have since acquired it and I think it's good. B+ overall.

I'm going to say Dragon Heist was an A-Tier...possibly even an S-Tier.

You can play it fully with low levels which is a MASSIVE bonus for anyone using the starter set and or the basic rules (though basic rules go up to 20). They need more adventures playable for those using Essentials or Starters to get them more involved in the game. Some people don't get into the game with just the adventure in the box, no matter if it's as great as Phandelver was or not.

Yawning Portal is one that I'd put as an S-Tier.

I agree, I think Dragonheist is massively underrated.

Yawning portal has some of the best adventures of all time - particularly Sunken Citadel and Forge of Fury. I have mixed feelings on the against the giants series. While I’ve had a lot of fun playing them I think they lack depth. Otherwise it would be S for me too. Instead I put both books as A.
