I was looking for news on a Hobbit movie, and have found several references, dated just before Christmas, that Peter Jackson was working out his dispute with New Line, and a Hobbit movie is now going to happen. They seem to be unofficial postings and such, but there's talk of it being split into two movies.
Is there enough content in the Hobbit to split it into two movies?

Kind of interesting that Kristin Thompson's blog mentions that the lawyers were making things worse by not letting the principals talk to each other, and it was a man to man talk, without lawyers, so to speak, that set them on a path to resolving the issue.
It'll be interesting to see if/when this happens. I don't know what they will be able to do. Theoretically, Ian McKellan and Andy Sirkis could both be involved, and possibly Orlando Bloom, if they wanted to throw in a Legolas cameo in Mirkwood.
