There's only two 5E books I'm paying more than standard sticker prices and aren't kickstarter Collector Editions: Tasha's Cauldron to Everything Alternative Cover and a physical copy of Adventures in Middle-Earth: Loremaster's Guide.

I had Tasha's Alt Cover pre-ordered last year, but a combination of Covid mucking deliveries up and an actual legit Christmas Gift Thief at my Apartment Complex, screwed that up and now everybody must need the money for that surgery to save their dad's life or something when it comes to what the sellers are asking for that book now.

Found a website selling the Loremaster's Guide, but after shipping, is around $79 bucks. And the other website, which sells it for $39.99, doesn't ship to the United States.

Pretty much...

You don't even want me to start telling stories about collecting the old Ral Partha Official 2nd Ed. AD&D miniatures, or the LJN action figures from back in the '80's...
Oh, I'm sure... Prices on anything remotely collectible go through the roof.
