Holy Liberator - should I change it to be like the UA Paladin PrC?

So I have a player who, for a variety of RP reasons, wants to take the Holy Warrior PrC. The character is a straight cleric at the moment.

I want to change it over so that it gets +1 spell casting every odd level. Should I leave the special ability development as is, or should I change it all to be more like the UA PrC Paladin?
