D&D General Homebrew Martial Ranger Class. Ranger Paths (Archetypes) included in Link

I was thinking a little more "you set a tripwire, and when someone trips it, a cloud of gas that affects the target like a sleep spell erupts (and disadvantage on the wisdom check to spot the tripwire if the target is running after you or away from you)", and a little less "throw the vial" (leave that to the actual artificers). That is a good list of spells.

When you say "You can exchange a known talent with a new talent at every new ranger Level", do you mean you can exchange ONE at every level, or do you mean that you can swap them all out? I think you mean the first, but it could be read as the second.

Astute II does not allow you to gain expertise in a tool, but Astute does. Is that intentional, or is one a mistake?

I was confused when I first read the Cure Wounds Elixir and Poultice. I thought they were a duplication for a while. I assume you want the poultice to be more similar to a short rest/out of combat option. Maybe a more different name?

You could modify Blindness, Web, Sleep, and Fog Cloud potions to be set off when you trip a wire or step on a pressure plate.

I think the intention was only exchange one, but at our table I we have changed more than 1. For game balance I don't think it would matter. What are your thoughts?

Intentional.

It will be changed to avoid confusion. Thank you

I personally think 1 swap is enough, but that is very much a personal preference. I like that players can make meaningful mechanical decisions about their character. The 5e trend to let you change out things like fighting style and weapon masteries bother me. The "mastery" doesn't feel like it reflects the training and dedication to a weapon is a snooze resets it.

Intentional.
If you don't mind my asking, why?

I agree that certain abilities/features should not be changed after a rest. Yesterday morning I was an expert bowman, but today I'm better at swordsmanship.

Sorry, I should have explained it in previous discussion. It was grandfathered in. The Rogue's expertise originally allowed only expertise in Skill's or thieves tools; only one tool was available for expertise. We thought that it was for balance purposes, so we kept it.
