Honey, how about becoming a vampire?

Alright, many replies :) Cool! Thanks!

Sorry, i don't know how to do all those quotes parts, so i'll address them one at a time :)

Lets start with the Vampire MASTER (the NPC's master). We would definetely kill her before i would be turned..no way i want to be HER slave's slave! :)

I would also wait until i was Level 18 so as not to lose my 9th level spells :) Good suggestion:)

As for the its a trap part, i would only agree to it, if the rest of my party would ensure that she free's me. It would be "supervised". If she changes her mind...well, off with her head..and i don't think she wants that :)

The con aspect is not that great howerver..i would definetaly lose HP :) Not that much, but would lose some for sure...Something to think about.

Regarding the sunlight issue...i would have to deal something with the DM..mabey interchange a feat or something...don't know how yet...suggestions would be welcome.

I don't think that the vampire spawn is really going to bring me that much benefit..better to stay cleric alive no?

As this point, with seeing that the level adjustment means that i would not gain any power until level 27 (for them anyways..level 19 for me), i am wondering if it will just get really bored with a never changing/advancing character.

They changing into a vampire saftely i could arrange, and my dm would allow it...now keeping it fun, thats the challenge it think...any ideas?

Thanks!

The problem is that she would command your PC with level 9 spells to fight the party if they would try that.... TPK?

I think vampires with sun lotion are lame.

Having fun with a not changing char... at first you're the big mofo in the group, 8 levels later you're the lame dude they have to drag along... No ideas how to change that. And you're never going to change the hitpoints problem.

Ditto,

but vampires with dark glasses and black leather jackets on the other hand. . . .
These dudes would look like me, only half as cool and they are much more likely to get sunburns... within seconds.

Considering your situation I would say yes, but only if you've a houserule which whould make any munchkin player happy.

Our DM doesn't use level adjustment, because he thinks it is lame concept, only made to avoid munchkin player freak out with such thing as a half-demon-celestial-fiend-vampire-stonechild-lich of doom. I agree with him, but of course I understand the concept with level adjustment. We never had a problem with anyone... maybe except a single munchkin who read all books and tried to maximize all character to the max (His name was actually Max). However it was fun because he couldn't read well enough to understand the rules correct. One he made a character who had a heavy crossbow with the range of 2000 feets and critical hits on 12-20x3. When he tried to abuse the rules our DM just killed him in a battle or an accident. It was easy to do because he thought his character was invicible.

If your DM doesn't allow to reduce the level adjustment or remove it then it would spoil the fun for you and rest of the party, I think.

I looked up the Savage Species part, which by the way is very interesting.

Now i understand that it may be a big impact if I did the change Mid level (example, level 10) but what if i waited till level 20? I don't know much about Epic, but i understand that i wouldn't gain more spells really. In fact its Feats that count...so using the progression table in savage species, i would still get feats (1 every 3 levels i think) and wouldn't lose out on really that much.... Since I have a 8 of Int, i won't miss out on many skill points either..lol.

What do you guys think?

Well, normally it's casters that ask about turning into vampires, in which case the loss of caster levels is a serious problem. Being a 20th-level or lower caster when all your allies and enemies are caster level 28 is not good. Also, your epic spellcasting works off of skills, so think again about skill points not mattering. ;)
