Honeymarsh Academy (D&D3.5) Chapter 2

[Mithran]

Yarin quietly puts the potion bottles back on the shelf and makes his way forward to look over Kytheria's shoulder as the fey is tended to "We'll need a good bit of rope... or chains, to restrain something like that."

Yarin reaches down to pick up the creatures scythe, even though it seems to be down for quite awhile. Then Yarin walks over to retrieve his dagger and return it to it's sheath.

End Of Chapter I

DM:
Without magical healing, the redcap will remain unconscious for a full day. He'll recover around 12 hp per day.

You may wish to take a day to recover spells, hit points, etc. You can divide the money and go shopping/re-arm if you like. The fey could probably be incarcerated at the school as well.

If you wish to restrain/tie-up the redcap, just say so.

Arvin pulls a length of rope from his backpack. "Like this?"
He then sets to work slowly and carefully hog-tying the redcap.
"And if we really want to be sure he can't break free, I've got this too," he says, motioning to a tanglefoot bag nestled at the top of his pack.

OOC: Arvin takes 20 on his Use Rope check when binding the redcap. He will then stand over the creature with the tanglefoot bag ready to throw, and wait for someone to wake the fey up.

Success! Seeker's spirit soars with pride and he smiles at everyone. "Well done, all of you." He walks around and shakes hands pats backs. "I haven't had that much fun since leaving the orphanage and fighting on the endless battlefields."

Seeker watchs Arvin tying up the creature. "Does anyone have any idea what sort of creature this is? It was speaking sylvan but while I understand the language, I do not possess any knowledge of the fey themselves... I'm assuming that it was fey anyway. It certainly didn't seem like a druid."

"Perhaps we should take him back to the school to be incarcerated before we question him?" Seeker says questioningly.

Scooping up the coins, Seeker hands them out. "Lets see, 60 platinum pieces. That's..." He does some calculating. "...8 platinum pieces each with 4 left over. What shall we do with the last four? Group emergency fund?"

DM: Arvin's idea is pretty good, and the creature will be well-bound. Kytheria could easily heal the redcap with a cure spell enough to bring it back to consciousness. Or you could incarcerate it first, or do whatever else you like.

Arvin is certain it is a fey, but of the unseelie type- the dark faction of fey that is pretty much disliked and loathed by most other fey.

Bartlin: Queens Knight 6

Bart looks at the Fae and then at it's weapons. "I wonder if it's really as passive as we think? Lets get it to the Acadamy and have a teacher look into it. This may be the kind of creature only magic can hold properly. We should also allert the authorities of what happened."

 

[Mithran]

Yarin looks to Seeker "You, sir have a very peculiar sense of what is fun." Yarin looks down at the coins "I think that as long as we are working together anything we gather should belong to the group as a whole. We can divide up whatever valuable items we have at such time time as we separate."

 

[Tinner]

"Yeah, it might not hurt to have some of the professors around when this guy comes to," Arvin rubs his newly healed side in memory. "Guess I can haul him back."
Arvin shoulders the bound and unconcious redcap into a fireman's carry, ready to return him to the school.
"Once he's secured, we might want to do a little shopping too. If this is the level of opposition we're going to face, we should all beef up our defenses as best we can."

 

[Lobo Lurker]

Seeker smiles at Yarin and winks but says nothing. As Arvin deals with the redcap, Seeks-the-Darkess begins looking around the room for clues as to the origins of the redcap, or the fate of the previous caretaker (Graeve?).

OOC: Take 20 on a Search +3 check or Aid Another to search the room.

Yarin stands quietly waiting for the others to respond to his idea for a few moments then, seeing Seeker begin to search the room joins in.

OOC: Since I have the better bonus when it comes to search (I think) I'll do the search check and Seeker can aid another on me. If that's alright?
