How are the new races coming along?

Umm, you do realize that teleport is line of sight only right (PHB 286). Your teleport is actually more powerful, since I could fey step, open a door really fast and step through. Or, fey step around corners, etc. Teleport doesn't allow you to do that.

Otherwise, cool idea.

Perhaps I should clarify - move as in only across spaces, not moving their hands and the such.

One of my players - the one playing the Eladrin that helped come up with the concept - described it when he did it in game as if time seemed to stop and, from his perspective, he seemed to float to where it was he wanted to go. All obstacles that are there are still actually there - you can't use it to exit a walled in room, or open the door while doing so, or any of that.

Again, it's a bit roughshod, but it's the best I can do with the mechanic.

But his teleport doesn't allow porting through steel bars, or across pits, or up walls, or through a Wall of Fire. Just saying. :)

Nice idea. If I change it slightly to them actually stepping out of time for a few seconds, it feels very appropriate for a fey race.

New races are coming along pretty well - so far I've seen played:

6 Humans (3 wizards, 1 fighter, 1 rogue, 1 cleric)
4 Tieflings (2 wizards, 1 warlord, 1 cleric)
3 Dragonborn (2 fighters, 1 paladin)
3 Eladrin (1 wizard, 1 warlord, 1 ranger)
3 Halflings (1 rogue, 1 cleric, 1 warlock)
2 Elves (1 rogue, 1 ranger)
2 Dwarves (1 paladin, 1 cleric)
2 Half-elves (1 warlord, 1 warlock)
1 Genasi (artificer)

(I'm involved with 4 campaigns, and we've had a decent lethality rate, including one TPK)

In two groups we are running

2 Dragonborn (Wizard and Ranger)
2 Tieflings (Warlock and Paladin)
2 Humans (Fighter and Warlord)
1 Eladrin (Wizard)
1 Dwarf (Fighter)
1 Half-Elf (Cleric)
1 Elf (Ranger)
1 Halfling (Rogue)

This count is a bit skewed as I banned Dragonborn from the one game set in Ptolus; one of the Tiefling-players would have opted for a Dragonborn, sor sure.

Unless obstacles break their stride. That make bars, force walls, phalanxes, and just plain debris able to void the movement.

I like that you can stick an eladrin in jail, but I think I may just say that iron (or maybe all metal) extends far enough into the Feywild that it prevents that phased movement. I actually like the idea of the Feywild and want to keep/promote it.
