I guess that gamers don't do a lot of bass fishing. But I gotta tell ya: back when I lived in Oklahoma, it was all I could think about from April to June.

Also playing SWSE, plus I just picked up D&DM and I'm finding that's actually a fun distraction that almost counts as a "teaser". Also discovered a local gaming shop and I might be breaking out the W40K army and do some of that, too.

"Put in a time off request for June 6-9." needs to be an option, too.

Bass fishing is for jet skiers. Now CAT fishing, that's the way to go. You set your poles out and then only have to be semi-sober enough to hear the little bells ring. You can't get a good drunk on when you bass fish. Well, and catch fish too I mean.

WTF is largemouth bass?! Is it mutated? If the pollster had put fishing for rainbow trout or kahawai then, yes, I won't be doing that either (dull recreation fishing, even worse than cricket!).

However I will be going through the WotBS and planning 4E conversion....bring it on!

Working on Living Forgotten Realms is consuming the bulk of my free time, these days. Aside from that, I will be working on updating my homebrew setting, getting plans for a 4e campaign in order, and prepping for my summer workload.

To be fair, and ObD&D, I'm also working on a D&D 4e world (starts normal then slowly becomes PoL when the PCs release ultimate evil in thier first adventure) and prepping some one-on-one Earthdawn for the wife.

But mostly, just working.

WTF is largemouth bass?!

It is a bass with a large mouth, as opposed to the kind with small mouths. Though I prefer catfish during warm weather as you don't have to be mostly sober to catch them.

Only if people have been dumping things in the river they shouldn't.

There are ways to liven it up you know. You can use a net(and claim it was just for bait if the Fish & Game officers come by, so long as you've got baited rods and reels out and some live bait they'll accept it). Or toss out some corn and bring the carp up to the surface and gaff them with hooks attached to broomhandles. Or mess around with beercan depth charges. Or pull up other people's trotlines and leave ridiculous things attached to the hooks.
