How can I fix my Will save?

There really aren't many ways for your character to improve his will save, short of magical items or feats.

I suggest you expand your search, and seek items to grant spell resistance. Also consider a Ring of Spell Turning.

Anyhow, the character really is a fighter. I plan to take him 1-18 or 1-20 as a fighter, so I'd really like to stay away from dips and PrC's.

Force of Personality lets you use CHA instead of WIS for Will saves, but with 12 WIS that might not help so much.

Why the devotion to the fighter class? Its not that great, honestly, even with all the PHBII feats out there. A four-level dip into a 3/4 BAB class only costs -1 BAB and the benefits are fantastic. You won't lose any attacks, and if you play your cards right you can use your spells/class abilities to more than make up for the -1 to hit (A four level cleric dip in particular brings to mind things like Bless, Divine Favor, Magic Weapon, etc. to boost "to hits"). You only lose two bonus feats, which isn't a big deal, in exchange for some nice abilities. Something like the Luck domain is worth far more than a feat, IMHO.

Iron Will at your next non-bonus opportunity and purchasing a cloak at the soonest opportunity seem like your best bets. I've never heard a fighter bemoan taking Iron Will... (at +3 I think it would be more automatic than it already, generally speaking, is).

What about a Prestige Class? I was thinking of the Order of the Bow Initiate from Complete Warrior - it's likely you already have the prerequisites and, IIRC, it has a good Will save.

2 suggestions...

Maybe pick up a couple points in spellcraft and Mageslayer? It doesn't help as much since you're using a bow.. but it's funny, and gives +1 will save..

Or, disguise yourself as someone with a high will save. Wizard, Cleric, Bard, etc... Big robes, a holy symbol... strap on a lute... If ya have money, pick up some items to help the disguise. It doesn't exactly help the save.. But it might help ya get hit w/them less...

So why not take other fighting classes like Knight or Monk or Paladin?

If you pick up the leadership feat and recruit a sorcerer/marshal. As a marshal he can motivate will saves for a bonus equal his charisma bonus and as a sorcerer cast the before mentioned heroics spell.

Well, if you're dead set against multiclassing and cannot afford much by way of magic items, spells from your allies are definitely your best bet.

On the low end, Protection from Evil offers what is essentially immunity to certain effects that would otherwise require will saves.

On the high end, if you get to a point at which one of your friends can cast mind blank on you, most of your worries about will saves are over.

Still, a couple of levels in Knight wouldn't hurt...

Aren't there some Luck feats in Comp Scou that may help as well?

In addition to the Combat Focus feats and that reroll thing, you'll do fine.
