How come Enderence and Diehard are not fighter bonus feats?

Looking at those feats, they seem tailor made for fighters. They should be bonus feats for fighters IMO, how come they are'nt?

Wow, you're right. I had just assumed they WERE fighter feats.

Is that really such a strong balance concern, though? I mean, almost all of a fighter's class abilities (the feats) are non-exclusive, meaning anyone else can take them. Shouldn't a fighter be able to at least exercise this non-exclusive class ability set better than other classes with whom he shares it? I don't really see the fighter being privileged over the ranger by having access to Diehard and Endurance as bonus feats; the ranger still gets Endurance for free, gets fighter-type feats (the Combat Style trees) for free, and has better saves and skills, class abilities, and spells.

Toughness isn't a fighter feat either, though the bigger ones in Masters of the Wild are. Sometimes I think WoTC uses the dartboard method for decision making.

I disagree. I really see a pattern there, the ranger and barbarian mostly get feats according to "tough nature boy" while the fighter is the one for combat tricks... things to be learned.

What you see is a lack of research, proper design notes and effort to guarantee consistency. There should have been design comments in the WotC offices that let future designers what makes a good/bad fighter feat, etc ... Either those notes are not there or they didn't use them for the splat books.
