How did you find EN World?

I've been here since "Eric Noah's Unofficial D&D 3rd Edition News". When I heard that 3E was coming out, I did a search on the Internet for info. Eric Noah's site was the best one out there at the time, no contest.

I had a different name back then, but changed it to this current one because once my DM found out who I was on the boards, he always read my posts and started to complain when I "talked" about my group. :heh:

There was actually a time when I didn't even post or even try to read the boards anymore because of the above incident.

I heard about Eric's sight from a friend right before the switch to EN World. I originally used the sight just for reviews and scheduled release dates, becouse I had never thought much of message boards. Once I returned to college, I was forced to use message boards for some classes, so I recently decided that anything good enough for my education is good enough for my entertainment. Too bad the opposite is not always true (Well Mr. Qualir, we here at the Pentagon thinkthat your PhD in D&D is just what we are looking for. :) )

On a side note. I was probably the only idiot who didn't realize that EN World stood for Eric Noah :( One of my friends pointed this out just last year

I was looking for info about 3e about 6 months before it came out, did a search on Google, and found Eric's site. Haven't left here since :)

I've become a more vocal visitor of enworld over the last few months (though you might not have guessed it), though have been lurking for probably about a year or so in one way or another. How did I get here? Word of mouth. I've since passed news of this site onto others who weren't aware of it (and are now regular visitors), who no doubt have done likewise with their friends and fellow gamers.

This is generally the way it works. Good sites just float to the surface of the great pond of sewage that the internet has become.

Enworld is certainly the best community D&D site that I know of (much better than the WotC community area, which I haven't visited for months). And the thing is, you do really get a sense of community here.

I'd thank you for it, but then it wouldn't be a thankless task anymore... ;)

No, seriously, thanks :)

It was soooooo many years ago I can't remember. I remember when it switched over to the new site and I had to re-register (thus everyone was reset to Jan 2002 at the oldest). I don't even remember how long before that it was that I had first found it. Since around when 3E came out is all I know for sure.
