How did you find EN World?

How I found it? Entertaining.

Uhmm... simply Googled for material to use in DnD campaign building, stuff to use to garner ideas, and this site popped up among them, pretty high up on the lists. Ben looking into things on/off for a year or so now...

You can blame Google for me being here as well. I didn't find the site prior to my introduction to 3e (I wasn't looking for D&D on the web before then). Once I started exploring the sites my Google searches did turn up, EN World quickly found itself bookmarked.

I forget.

Probably a websearch for "D20 message boards" or something to that effect.

I know I was searching for a place when I was given the 3.0 books and it was becoming apparent that the local population was not interested in the other games I was interested in, so I had better re-acquaint myself with D&D after a c. 20 year hiaitus.

I found Eric's site from a link on the WOTC boards. I've follwed the site ever since. There's surch a plethora of information to be found here on a wide variety of topics, and we never seem to dwell in the flame wars of so many other boards. Although we do have our moments. ;)

I'm more interested in hearing how the newer members got here, though - the people who arrived in the last year or two. Did you stumble across the site by accident? Found it while using a search engine? A link on another site? Let us all know!

A combination of two. A good friend and gamer added PHP Nuke to his website, and I began helping him set it up and admin it with him. He listed Enworld news on the front page as a good resource, and we continue to link to it now.

Well, I found 'Eric Noah's unofficial ...' a long time ago, but wasn't that interested back then. I just bookmarked it and returned only once or twice.

What really brought me here was jonrog1's story hour - on the WotC board I used to frequent at that time a rabid fan linked to it, I followed, read and was swept away. With the weeks I broadened my scope to see all of the story hour forum and yet a few weeks later to the rest of the board. And here I am, usually lurking (nobody plays DnD near here :(), but reading a lot (and as many story hours as I can manage).

Honestly I can't really remember. I suspect I might have seen a link way back on WebRPG or read something about Eric's Page back on that site. Of course I stopped visiting WebRPG years ago.

I found eric's site right after 3rd edition came out....after I bought my PHB, but before they were selling Monster Manuals and Dungeon Master's Guides. I was looking for release dates for various books, and have been around here ever since.

I really started using the forums much later, even though I have checked the news page almost daily for the lifetime of 3rd edition.
