How do I make layouts using all my Master Maze stuff.

First Post
I am looking for ideas on how to plan layouts utilizing Master Maze 3D models. I have about 15 sets of stuff and would like to make some dungeons using as many of the pieces as possible but I find it impossible to plan it out without actually taking the stuff out and setting it up. For a recent con where I did run a Dungeon Delve type game using the stuff I had to take graph paper and make a small scale copy of each piece in each set and then cut them out and put them together, just so I could plan it out. It took hours just to do the map, and when I actually got to the con sections of it were wrong anyway!
I once heard a rumor that software was going to become available that would allow you to input all of your sets and it would generate possible layouts for you... anyone know of any truth to this?
Any help would be appreciated.

You may want to get DongeonMaker, a free tile based mapper and map your plan out. You can then write notes and other info and use it as you layout.

I will look for the link...

In the beginning I felt like you do and wanted to lay everything out exactly on paper and be able to built a tabletop layout to match it.

It doesn't work. Ever. Or if it does, it takes you twice as long to set up as you're hunting for the right pieces.

Here's the way I do it now:

Don't be picky with your map. Don't feel like you have to lay every little thing out on graph paper to the exact measurement.

My last map was draw on blank paper with rough notes like "60' corridor", "30'x30' room". Map has a curve but you can't find your curved pieces? Make it a 90 degree corner.

Trust me, it makes setting it up MUCH easier. Try it a time or two with a little layout , you'll see what I mean.
