How do You as a DM handle sensitive information that is not privy to all characters?

When I'm DMing, it's open at the table. If anyone tries to mess around, I yell at them and humiliate them and make them wet themselves and then show everyone how they shamed themselves.

I voted excusing ourselves although generally I just whisper something without actually leaving the room. I've used all of those techniques at one time or another.

I send all the other players to the kitchen to make tea and coffee, and bring the chocolate biscuits in.

The DM should have to leave the table, nor get his own refreshments.
