D&D 3E/3.5 How do you plan to end your 3E campaign?

How do you plan to end your 3E campaign?

Well I am going to run my game to its natural conclusion, whether that is in 6 months or not.

Same here. I've got about 3 year (heh) left on my current campaign. We started with set sources and we'll most likely just continue through.

That said, I may be starting a separate 4ed mini-campaign next year if I like the rules.

I don't know how that falls on the poll. :)

Cheers,

I stopped running 3.5 months ago.

The two campaigns I am playing in are both going ending abruptly and without fanfare the moment we get our hands on 4e.

I am currently running a low-ish level game right now, and I intend to run it until we convert to 4e. If it ends before then, unlikely, then IDK. But if 4e does come around before its over, we are definitely converting. (My players really like that game from my understanding! :D )

One game that I abandoned I plan to begin again, but only after my group and I are well familiar with the rules, because it is an epic level game. But then again, I might just continue to keep it dead, cause it was kind of lame.

I am participating in two games, a low level game and another abandoned epic game. My DM said specifically that he wants to begin the epic game again once 4e comes out, but as for our active low-level, IDK. I hope we convert to 4e when the time comes, because I'm playing an elf warlock. But IDK, I wouldn't mind if we totally beat that game during 3e.

Maybe I'll run my "Nature of the Beast" campaign under 4e. Do you think the core rules could handle awakened animals, anthropomorphism, and non-core races? ;)

Epic Battle

I have two campaigns running. One will end with an epic battle (hopefully). The other will probably do the same. I expect those to be done within a month or so. Then I'm running the Pathfinder series (Rise of the Runelords).

I have ideas for the next campaign, but I'd rather wait on the new rules to see how to put it all together. That and I'm a bit burnt out on writing adventures, so I'm looking forward to running the prewritten stuff for a while.

My 3.5 campaign is moving along to an epic ending after which the PCs will either reshape the Multiverse or the campaign's BBEG will become a Lovecraft inspired god and re-write existence. I had to check Epic Battle and TPK, 'cause you never know! Good times.

After that, I'll probably run some Iron Heroes and Shadowrun until 4e comes out, with H1 as a little teaser in there.

I'm running Rappan Athuk Reloaded, modifying some rules to make combat faster and letting the players go out on a bang with some modified gestalt rules.

Then we play until 4E is out, or we have so many TPK's we'd rather do something else.
