Ive always said it "terr-ASK."

Recently I heard a guy say, "TAIR-uh-skew."

Is it "terr-AS-kwe"?

Anyone quite sure on the pronunciation? :)

Well, I think I've heard it always "terr-ASK" (how do you americans know how do you pronounce it?!) Or something like that. I only know it's something like "ta-RAASK" (well, that's how I hear it... figure it out)

Oh boy, these pronounces, I'll give you an off-topic question:
What language is the next line:

Dysgwyr ydym ni.

Pronounce that!

I've always pronounced it as 'Ter-ASK' as well. It just seems logical to me. But then the author might've had something completely differn't in mind. Take Melnibone, I've always pronounced it 'Mel-nib-anee.' But some guy who said he heard an interview with Micheal Moorcock on a radio show said it was pronounced 'Mel-ni-bony.'

Its Welsh, and its pronounced (very roughly)

"DERS-goo-err YERD-erm NEE"

I don't know what it means, though.

Around December 24th, however, I do get a kick out of saying "Nadolig Llawen" to people. ;)

It would best be pronounced 'tuh-rask,' which is how most people are pronouncing it. To be truly pronounced like the French word Tarrasque appears to be, you'd want to put a slight, barely perceptible 'kuh' sound at the end, but we're speaking English.

My personal beef is with the Bulette (officially pronounced 'boo-lay'), which I prefer to pronounce as 'byu-lett'.

And then there's 'Ixitxacitl.'
