How do you roleplay an Int 74 character?

Here's an example from real life of exactly this scenario:
(excerpted from http://www.prometheussociety.org/articles/Outsiders.html)

The Prometheus Society in my experience is dedicated to the idea that one's intelligence is directly proportional to the number of strange obsessions and dysfunctional behaviors one exhibits, in contrast to Mensa, which apparently limits the concept to an obsessive interest in solitary games and puzzles.

If that is true, than I am a genius.

That pretty well describes me, actually. I'm not super-duper smart, but I'm sure I'm more intelligent than I seem. It's like being trapped inside your mind. It's like "Hey! Ideas! Get out there and do your stuff!" "Nah, we don't wanna, we're watching tv.".

Strange obsessions? Dysfunctional behaviour? An obsessive interest in solitary games and puzzles?

I hope you realize what it means: all gamers are geniuses!

Yeah, that should be obvious from all the "what are your RL stats?" threads in which everybody has 18 Ints. :)

This was inspired by the "How do you roleplay a character with Wis 74 and Cha 60" thread. So, how would you play a character with an Int of 74, but an average Wisdom, and a low Charisma?

Like all characters with INT over 35, this character will spend all his time at the beach, most of it surfing. But with only a low Charisma, he or she might not have a cool, intelligent, and witty live-in S.O.

Regards,

Agback

I think any character with that high an intelligence but without wisdom to compensate would be turned into a gibbering lump of insanity. Without great presence of mind, how could anyone possibly process anything useful out of all that information?

You'd have your average D&D Player! :p

Let's see, INT is defined as your knowledge and WIS is your ability to make use of it. CHA is your perception of self, your ability to make other people believe it, and your raw social magnetism. Yep! It's a Role Player! Role-Players have all sorts of useless information but often get into a bind when dealing with social situations that don't involve gaming. They know that soap and deoderant make people more willing to stand around them but still don't use it.

Sorry, I had to say it. The FLGS that I was forced to go to when I lived in Dover Delaware was filled with people like this.

I would suggest looking to some literature: Dune (as has been mentioned), Ender's Game, and Stranger in a Strange Land (in particular, towards the characters who were highly trained witnesses - the bit about the house being white on this side...)
