How do you share large files online?

You could also use a tool to cut the files into smaller pieces and put them back together after sending them seperately via email. Of course, your friends will need the tool to merge the split files.

Total Commander, for example, can do that (split file, combine file).

I've been wanting to share some PDF's with other gamers, but I need to break that low megabyte limit that most email providers have. I have a Yahoogroup, but it's upload limit is 5 MB. I need at least twice that.

Any help?

Use your ISP email account? My MSN account has a 2 GB transfer/file storage limit.

Well, problem with email is, even if I can upload a lot, there's still the issue of what the recipients can download.

We use Skydrive for our gaming group. We have a folder up there where we store session notes, character sheets, maps, PDF's etc.

You get a GB of access-controlled storage for free. :)

By encrypting the file, a public file uploading service can be used. I personally use GPG to encrypt files but this is not very user friendly. With some googling I found this program http://www.axantum.com/AxCrypt/HowToUse.html hosted on SourceForge (you should always use open source cryptography software). This seems to be easy to use. Hope this helps.
