how do you store your D&D minis?

Clear topped part box, with removable dividers. Available at any good hardware store, for Aussies, I recommend Bunnings Warehouse. About AU$20

I use multiple cardboard cardboxes (ranging from 150 to 400 count sizes, so far), labeled in about 25 different categories. (E.g., monstrous humanoids, drow, dwarves, aberrations, et cetera.) I store the boxes on shelves, along with all Large models and some of the more impressive Mediums. If I need to take them somewhere, I can either pick out the ones I need and box them up, or throw a bunch of boxes into a larger box or bag.

It works really well, primarily because the miniatures are so light and nigh-indestructible.

Black and Decker makes a four-slot small parts box. Each tray removes. You can subdivide it up to a point. (It won't hold your Huge, but it will hold Large, minis.) It's got a handle and is bright orange in cover. Works well, costs about $10 at Home Depot. I love mine!

GlassJaw, I will show you what I use on Saturday.

I just use craft boxes from Michael's, they are about $2 apiece.

I sort each box thematically so I generally know right where to look.

Haven't found a good solution for my Huge minis, though. They are rare enough I can pretty much keep them on a shelf and bring out just what I need when I need it.

For D&D Minis, I just keep them on a shelf. If I need to bring them somewhere, I just push them into a box and take 'em with me. Since they're plastic, I'm not too worried about damaging them. I keep my metal minis on a shelf most of the time too, but if I have to take them anywhere, I pack them up with more care using some crumpled paper or something to cushion and separate them. That said, I rarely need to take my minis anywhere outside the house.

I to use tackle boxes, actually a system by Plano

Plano Tackle System

Specifically I use these sets:

Conectable Case

They are see through and I can create themed cases and and conect two of them together for easy transprt. But the best thing about these are they are inexpensive (under $5 at Wal-Mart).
