Hey all-

I have a mini that i painted a while back- but don't like anymore. I want to repaint him. Do you guys have any suggestions about stripping old paint (no sealer) off a mini without damaging the mini (pewter)

Thanks

strip a mini

depends on what you used to paint it. for oil base soak in gasoline for a day and scrub with a soft toothbrush. for waterbase paint try simple green it should come right off. if the paint's not too thick then just painting over it may also be a good option.

Actually, this is when i was still learning how to paint minis and gobbed paint on them. I then invested in painting mags and found that less is best.

eh- You learn somethign new everyday...

thanks a bunch

Easy Off Oven Cleaner

Learned this from Peter a poster here and one hell of a mini-painter.

Easy off oven cleanerand a soft tooth brush...cheap, fast and I end up with all of my skin afterwords. I was using some industrial strength crap...ouch my fingers hurt just thinking about it.

Anyway, easy off, it's not just for the oven any more.

These are all fine suggestions. Also, this question gets asked pretty regularly and then moved to the Art & Miniatures Forum, so look there for more details.
