Help me out here on the double aptitude ability:
Double Aptitude (Ex): At 7th level, you can adopt two aptitude focuses in the same amount of time it previously took for you to adopt one. For example, you could adopt both the combat focus and the wild focus to mimic a ranger, or the divine focus and arcane focus to mimic a mystic theurge. You can't adopt the same aptitude focus twice simultaneously. You can still only adopt as many focuses per day as indicated by your aptitude focus ability.
What this says to me is that you can have two aptitudes at the same time, which both use up an aptitude for the day. So you could be an arcane/divine at the same time, using up two uses of aptitude focus and not one use. Thus, unless you are 10th level, if you go with two aptitudes at once, you can/t change an aptitude until the next day.
I saw people talking about changing (for the sake of example), within a 24 hour period: Ftr/Wild to Arcane/Divine.
By my reading of the class, that would be four uses of aptitude focus, which you don't get. If you can double change for one use, that makes the class even better.
I read the class:
As allowing, at 10th level: Ftr/Wild to Ftr/Arcane
If the chameleon is a 7th-9th level chameleon, then selecting Ftr/Wild at the beginning of the 24 hour period means that is it for you. You have both aptitudes for 24 hours but can't change either of them for 24 hours. Also, a 7th-9th level cha could select Ftr aspect at the start of a 24 hour period, then add an aspect later on, like stealthy. Then the 7th-9th cha couldn't change from Ftr/Stealthy until 24 hours after adopting the Ftr aspect, at which time the 7th-9th cha could change out the ftr aspect but not the stealthy aspect.
Please advise, maybe I'm making this way more complicated than it is.
