If this game isn't done right I'm not buying another AEG product that's for sure.

Ack :p!

With a lead in like that, I've just got to ask...

Define "Right".

Right now, I thnk we've taught it to fetch your shoes, bake bread, and slice it, but I'm open to imput on how it should go about toasting and buttering... :)

we want details about this...must have details...details, details, details...

What seasons are being incorporated?

All of them, and [gloat] a few details from the set you may never have seen before. It is however the core book ina product line, so you'll be getting more of an overview, with the blow by blow details in following products.

How are you doing classes?

Just like Spycraft.

What with the health system be like?

Wounds and Vitality.

Do we need spycraft or will this be a stand alone product?

Stand alone, though with it's close compatability to Spycraft you should be able to bring in new elements from existing books in the line in moments. The NID would be more than happy to make use of some of Spycraft's Stlye and covert feats not reprinted in the SG-1 rulebook.

How much of my time will be sucked into playing this game?

Aproximately all of it.

Anything else you don't mind sharing with us to wet our appetite until it comes out?

Hmm. If you've got access to the Spycraft Espionage Handbook you can look at the Soldier and Pointman classes for character ideas, as both made their way into the Stargate Universe...

Will you be showing us a preview of it to tide us over?

It would not surprise me :).

Will you have a rules-lite version akin to spycraft until it comes out?

Spycraft (or Spycraft Lite) ARE pretty good rules introductions to how Stargate SG-1 will work. As we get closer, I'll look into releasing some information on playing as a non-human so that you can see how it varies from Spycraft's all-human environment 8).

Did you get all that? ;) :D

I think so :D.

Well, I won't buy it cause it's not d20 modern. What a pity!

I do have the Spycraft book (and it is very good for sure no doubt) but I prefer d20 modern because it's more or less open and allows such wonderful products like Dark Inheritance.

das Darke

I have no preference for any one particular d20 product. I've known Spycraft before d20 Modern.

I'm a d20 gamer. I'm also a fan of SG-1. So I will pick up the rulebook. Of course, I need to know the retail price. From other sources, it is going to be a 400-page hardcover book, so is it a safe bet it will cost no more than $40?

Can't wait for this book, esp. since my attempt at organzing people to put a d20 Modern version of Stargate months ago failed miserably :D ;)

So far, the sample info on the official website has me quite stoked since it seems like the writers know what they're doing, esp. with the variety of situations described for using the DHD.

...although I gotta ask: the sample team leader was a Falcons cheerleader AND knows belly dancing? :D Someone's putting the high roll in Charisma for their female characters again... ;)

Also looking forward to the "season books" which is an excellent idea expecially since it would allow "new crunch" to be added into the campaign if a certain timeline is followed.

Hey, how about including a poster that outlines the symbols on the DHD? This way, sadistic DMs can make their players actually dial their way home... :D

Since it was mentioned that the book might be available by Gencon, does that mean we can expect them in store around that time?

One thing I'm looking forward is to see how the rules will resolve the "Zat" issue and it's one-shot-incapacitate/two-shot-insta-kill effect that might make it an uber-weapon.

Finally, will there be suggestions for GMs on how to convince players to actually call another player "sir"? :p (the BIGGEST obstacle in my mind ;) )
