I go where the characters and the story want to go. I don't limit all my games to the same range of levels. Some go high, some stay low.

Exactly. I've had camapigns go 30 levels, I've had them go ten. AS long as everyone is having fun I'll run something till they are level 10,000 It's not the level that matters, is the fun for everyone involved.

My "sweet spot" is 5-10: you're powerful enough to be a little dangerous, but not enough that you can get cocky.

In fact, I wasn't even going to pick up the ELH at all, because I never play that high. But the great artwork, concepts in the monster section, and finally the $13 price at buy.com (:D) convinced me in spite of myself.

Even though I cringe at all the work one has to do to stay on top of a 10+ level character, I'm committed to bringing a group all the way from 1st to 20th.

Epic? Nah. Epic's no fun.

I am with the Doctor on this one. We they do get to 20th level, I will at least look at the epic rules, but I see no reason to worry about that now, that will be some time next year, if they don't all die before then...

I'd say 11- 15 because after 10 that things just get silly but I'll give the extra 5 levels if the players wanna.

As to high level monsters - these can be dealt with by a level 10 character and her army of Paladin cohorts/hirelings!
