How I celebrated my birthday...

My birthday is actually next Saturday, but due to this being a date more closely associated with my friends going away than them clustering around me to celebrate it, we decided that Sunday 10th December was a more appropriate day to celebrate it...

Merric's 34th birthday. A day with gaming, bushfires, a lot of soft drink, people collapsing in exhaustion, food, car breakdowns, and yes, more gaming. But not a RPG in sight, strangely enough.

Read about it here:

:)

(Congratulations to anyone who manages to read it all, btw!)

Cheers!

Happy Birthday for this coming Saturday Merric. It sounded like you had a good time. I hope the bushfires have started to calm down a bit where you are. It was 41 degrees in Adelaide on Saturday. What was it like out your way?

It's bad in Gippsland, but that's some distance away from here. The cool change here has been very welcome.

Cheers!

Did you get to the stage of the fire where you starting thinking about what things you would take first if the fire did come your way or is it still a little way off.

Not really the same thing but there was a grass fire about 300 metres from my house on the weekend. No damage to anyones' houses luckily.

It was relatively close; certainly when the fire was first there a week or so ago, I gave much more consideration to it.

(FYI: SE D&D books, clothes, Caylus, cat).

Cheers!

No D&D Minis managed to make the grade. Personally I think I would grab our 2 rabbits, the computer (hard drive only), our wedding photos and video. Anything else can probably be replaced without too much trouble.
