How is Gamma World now?

GW from S&SS almost failed to, but it seemed very similar to the computer game FALLOUT, of which I'm a die-hard fan. It got a die-bump and I went and bought it. :)

Odd you would say that as most people use that game to describe DW. But everyone veiws things differently. :)

yeah, i would definitely say of the two (Darwin's World 2e and Gamma World d20), DW is the one much closer to the spirit of Fallout.

Yeah, too each their own, I saw it the other way. Plus, I hate to say it, I'm sure I'll get flak, but I've always thought Darwin's World was such a lame title for a book. I'm sure the system is great, I looked through it, but that name keeps jumping out and screaming "LAME". Plus I liked the Nanotech idea replacing alot of the radioactive "powers". Guess I can't get into Atomic Powered Soldiers. :p

This, and the backstory, were among the few things I liked about GWd20. The intro chapter in the PHB is just awesome. I'm preferring DW as an overall product, though. They crammed SO much into that book.

check out Omega World

The best post-apocalyptic d20 game I've found is Jonathan Tweet's Omega World in Dungeon #94. You should do yourself a favor and check it out. I think you can buy it as a back issue at Paizo for about $10.

I sold my copy of GW d20 after reading and plan to do the same with DW. I'm still holding onto Redline for the time being.
