It's 4 out of 7 in our group.

Human Fighter 5
Dwarf Fighter 5
Halfling Monk 5
Gnome Rogue 4/ Fighter 2
Half-elf Ranger 3/ Rogue 1/ Fighter 2
Half-elf Sorcerer 3/ Fighter 2
Half-orc Bard 4/ Cleric 1

So far it seems to be working out for us really well.

I put other. In the campaign I DM, only one person has multiclassed and another is going to when she goes up. In the campaign I play in, everyone but the two druids (myself and another person) and one barbarian has multiclassed.

In my group, the fighter took some rogue and there is a rogue who wants to be a druid. In the group I play in, we have a Ranger/Sorcerer, a Wizard/Fighter, a Fighter/Thief/Wizard, an NPC Orc Barbarian/Fighter (learning civilized fighting)

How is it working out? The biggest thing I've noticed is that some people in the campaign I play in have decided that the druids are too powerful. There are some house rules that contribute to that, but I think a lot of it is the fact that my character is 11th level and can now throw 6th level spells while everyone else with spell ability aside from the other druid can only muster 3rd level spells if they're lucky and most only have 1st and 2nd level spells. There does seem to be a difference between single classed and multiclassed characters there, at least in perception.

In The Sundered Sky campaign we currently have...

A Human Sorcerer
An Elven Ranger/Rogue
An Orcish Barbarian/Fighter
A Wildling Bard
A Wildling Psion/Psionic Warrior/Monk...

The Bard is considering multiclassing into Rogue at the moment

We have two campaigns,

Low Level hom-brew:

Half-Ogre fighter -wants to pick up a Prc as a Knight
High Elven Ranger/Fighter
Humans Evoker-probably won't multi
Human Barbarian/Fighter
NPC Halfling Priest

High Level;

Human Wizard/Alienist
Human Cleric of Oghma
Human Cleric/Crusader of Tempus
Human Barbarian/Fighter/Ranger
Human Illusionist/Rogue/Fighter/Assassin

We obviously don't use the favored class rule.

Sure. Some multiclass chars start out better but singleclass chars later beat them with highlevel abilities. Except of the fighter, ranger, barbarian. Their high level abilities are nonexistent, therefore they are good for multiclassing.

Let me see.

Active Campaign -
1 out of 5 in one group
2 out of 6 in an other group
2 out of 5 in the next group

High Level, one shot adventure -
2 out of 6

Finished Campaigns -
0 out of 6
1 out of 6

All the people that multi-class do it because of it fits the character concept. Nobody multi-classed more then once. So we do not have got any PC with three classes.

About a 1/3, really

We've had several multi-classed characters but the one that seemed the most effective for the party was the Cleric 4/Fighter 2/Mighty Contendor of Kord 1. I think he worked well 'since his primary concept was to be a fighting type but since he was the groups only cleric his clerical abilities were very valuable.

He and the bard did all the healing, he and the barbarian did most of the meleeing. He enjoyed the Luck & Strength domain powers, both of which made him a better fighter. The barbarian was a better fighter but Hugo certainly held his own and had some useful abilities to boot.

So I guess that fits in with what others have said--If you're mostly going to be fighting (melee) then multi-classing can be very handy but if you are supposed to be the big blasto fireball/flamestrike guy then it may not be as good an idea.

So far, only one has multiclassed. Probably going to be that way for another level or two, when we start picking up prestige classes.

OK, "all" in this case means "both". They're a Fighter/Rogue and a Fighter/Wizard.

(Yes, without a cleric they suck down healing potions like an alcoholic sucks down booze.)

Yep few multiclasses and mostly Warrior Types... Spell users if at all get only one level... usually Monk.

LANDO I noticed an ALIENIST as PrC in your group... how has this character been doing ? I thought about getting this Prestige Class before... seem bad for spellcasting thou...
