How is your summer going?

and for 2 glorious years I lived in Seattle where contrary to popular opinion it does NOT rain everyday... We just told people that so no one else would move there any longer... :)

Lucky... When I tell non-San Diegans not to move here because of overcrowding (<-- worldwide problem! Spay and neuter your children.), crazy housing costs, gas at an arm and a leg/gallon, and pollution, all they say is
"Oh, but the weather is so nice" and I can't argue with them.

LOL... the rain isn't the only thing we lied about... Bill Gates and the Space Needle are two other things... We just make the Space Needle look really tall in every picture, postcard, t-shirt... and on every TV show and movie... Frazier's logo for example...

Its actually only 13 feet tall... who knew :p

My summer is pretty up-and-down so far.

My ex is getting remarried this Saturday, so last Friday's paycheck was my final alimony payment. When I get my next paycheck on the 9th, my take-home income almost quadruples!

On the flip side, my ex called me at work today to tell me she's putting the house up for sale and accepting a job two states away, which means I won't get to see my 12-year-old-daughter as much as I do now, which sucks royally.

But, I was just chatting with one of the couples I game with and found out that one of their major family problems has worked itself out in the best possible way.

So, overall, good things and bad things. At least it's not tedious. ;)
