How It Works; Fighter Feat: Distracting Shield

Note however that enemies always have the option of not taking an OA.

Specially after witnessing the mayhem a Fighter does :)

If this is the case, then you've canceled more OAs than the Shield Push itself would have done so by itself.

And -then- you still have your CC attack on -their- turn as a constant threat.

I fail to see how this is lose.

LOL, I didn't say it was a loose, I meant that you can't count on enemies making OAs, because it's optional.

Having said that, pushing an attacker (with CC) is a little more dependent on whether the attack is the first or the last action.
Because in one case it means that the enemy con move afterwards, and in the other case, it means he cannot.
And that *may* be something you don't want your enemy to have.

Nevertheless, it's cleatr that Distracting Shield is a plus.

That depends on the player tho. Some players aren't as chessmaster-tactics-minded as others. I love the feat myself, but other players might not find it so enjoyable because the DM might not let them use it every round.

It all depends on your playstyle, to be quite honest.

It's a good feat if you're the right mindset to use it, and more situational if you are not.
