How long can you grapple with someone before you become exausted?

Currently in my pbp game I'm dealing with a stone-skinned wizard and a party that has no way to inflict direct damage. I'm considering attempting to disarm/trip/grapple him to at least nullify his own damage dealing capacity, but that's all I can come up with...

by the rules i believe you would actually have to make him miss sleep.

Nah, hoping by the rules. Let's just say this looks bad. There was a 15% chance of spell failure for casting the spell from a scroll, and it was a large portion of the NPCs wealth (but not half), but it's definitely going to make this combat what it is. Theres only one thing I can think of... other than running, but it'll do.
