Sunless Citadel took, hm, 3 five-hour sessions, IIRC, and we played every 3 weeks, so, a month and a half. Now, we're halfway through Forge of Fury with 3 more 5-hour sessions, but we played a little less this summer (or played other campaigns), so I think we started FoF in mid-july, so it's been 2 months and a half for half of FoF. I plan on playing all the modules... It's going to take a while...

Oops... Didn't read the poll properly before replying. I assumed it meant only the first adventure, Sunless Citadel... In any case, we went through Sunless Citadel in two sessions and Forge of Fury in three, all in those golden days of yore when we could actually get the weekly game together every week. Never ran the others.

I assume from the voting distribution that the actual intent of the poll is being misunderstood by nearly everyone since the "question" is badly phrased. What I assume is being sought here is the length of real-world time it has taken people to play through the ENTIRE Adventure Path module SERIES beginning with Sunless Citadel and ending with Bastion of Broken Souls with characters having progressed some 20 levels. With 60% of the responses indicating they blew through the whole series in 2 months or less it's either that or you people are just plain playing the game wrong.

It took us about 18 months but we didn't exactly "follow" the whole path. It included some seriously campaign-specific flavoring, we skipped Standing Stone and Deep Horizon entirely - they were effectively replaced by other "modules" or campaign-specific adventuring. Forge of Fury they never finished. One of the PC's got killed and the resulting gameplay actually turned the campaign on a "path" that virtually ran non-stop until the game ended. And Bastion also had a lot omitted and altered to make the end of the path fit the game I was actually running.

Sunless Citadel itself... well getting STARTED on it took most of a game session. I didn't actually start the game with SC and the players seemed to be unable to pick up the plot thread (a very obvious one _I_ thought) that was intended to lead them to it. They were trying to make the adventure come to them, I was waiting for them to get off their duffs and simply say "We go LOOK for it". I practically had to INFLICT it on them to get them going. Once begun I seem to recall it was 2 weeks/2 game sessions to finish it.
