How long do Walls of Stone & Iron last?

Where does it say Wall of Iron or Stone can't be dispelled? It is still magically creatd iron and stone, and thus, is dispellable. If there is an official ruling to the contrary, I would like to see it.

That's what "Duration: Instant" means. The spell creates matter, or gets it from the elemental planes, or whatever. Once that is done, it's perfectly normal stone/iron.

It's the same as the difference between Summoned and Called creatures. Summoned ones can be dispelled, but Called ones are really there and can't.

Second question why would people mine for Iron ore, & go to the trouble of proccessing it if Mages & Sorc. can just create pure iron sheets/slabs/blocks? Same goes for Stone wall, why quary?

It must be said:
Wall of iron + fabricate + Craft(armor) = Instant MW full plate.
Wall of stone + fabricate + Craft(scuplture) = Instant statue.

Fabricate is such a wrong spell.
