1 year.

I'm specifically talking about D&D 3.0 and d20 Fantasy games, not d20 games in other genres or non-d20 games (although those usually unfold over a similar timeframe).

My last three were 6 months, 1 year and 2 years, varying between weekly and bi-weekly. The 6-month one ended at 5th level (6th for one PC, IIRC), the 1-year one ended at 21st level, and the 2-year one ended at 17th level.

Its hard to say. It always seems like we play for a few months and then something happens. When I DM I usually need a break after 4-6 months and we take some time and do other things and someone else runs a minicampaign for a while then we go back to "Season 2" of the campaing I was running. I think I suffer from DM ADD abit as well. But being able to stop and go back helps.

Unfortunately, not long: so far, it's about 3 mos. average. Mainly due to TPKs or trying to DM while another DM has run games.

The TPKs have been the result of a huge (8+) group of players, & trying to send adequate foes against them. Not pretty, in some cases. Doesn't help when some of said players don't do much to avoid said death.

However, this current campaign shows some promise. Had some PC deaths already (mainly due to bad chance; one due to bad player decisions), but a starting magic item actually helped in regards to that.

If by "campaign" you mean a regularly scheduled game featuring an ongoing group of characters in a single setting and/or a series of connected adventures, I've been in several campaigns lasting 3 or more years.

Our 3.x campaigns have usually been lasting from 4-6 months. Something in the campaign itself implodes it, or RL of the DM causes it to end abruptly (we rotate DMs).

Our current campaign, of which I am the DM, just hit the 6 month mark, and is going strong. :D

The longest 3.x one we had lasted 2 years, essentially covering the timeframe I was in Graduate School and was unable to DM, and the other DM couldn't either (school too).

Current campaign is roughly se7en years old, others have lasted about two to three years. We do mix things up by playing little one off games and short campaigns just to try new things or experiment with other genres etc.

My current 3.0 campaign started February, 2001. Six year anniversary hear we come. My 2e game lasted for ~3 years and the Mage game lasted for about a year and a half.

As a player the SR2 game went for about 2 years, vampire lasted closer to 3. Some of my friends are in a 4-yro D&D game and there's a sporadically run 2-yro game we pick up from time to time.

I've had a couple of games I ran or played in that died after 2 months. There's little middle ground for us it seems.
