I said "3 years" because it's been at least that long that I've played with this particular mix of people. However, I've played with all these people for many more years in different combinations. The least time I've played with any of them is 10 years or so, now. The longest; my whole roleplaying carreer, which would be just about 30 years.

My second gaming group is much more casual. We've been together about a year in the current mix, but it changes frequently. Someone will be leaving next month, and a new person joining; I'm surprised we've had a year without change!

I have played with my current group about three years now, but I have known the people involved longer (up to 25 years) and played other things with them.

I just moved to a new city this summer and so I've only been with my current group for four months. Prior to that, my gaming group was pretty well a continuation of the same group I had been with since 1995. Although the personnel changed a lot to the point where only two of the seven of us had been in the very first session, it was still pretty hard to abandon a 19-year-old gaming group (two of us had been with it 19 years, another one for 14 and the rest for 7 or less). Of course, I've joined a gaming group that is nearly as old here but, again, it's down to only two players from the very original group.

EDIT: In my last group, when one new player joined, we were having an intensely geeky discussion about our dice. I was pointing admiringly to a die I had purchased with the Basic D&D set I first bought in 1981. "So that die is older than me," the new player said.

For my group back in Michigan, either 6 or 7 years (I voted 6) -- and we're still playing together online, as we're now in different states.

I also found a great group here in Utah, but I've only been with them for about 3 months.

27 years.
My brother and two friends -- we've gamed together since 1977, sometimes weekly, sometimes only once or twice a year. My wife joined us in 1987. They are the greatest players a DM could wish for, still full of enthusiasm for the game and so clever that they always challenge my skills as a storyteller and game designer.

Zarak, Kharn, Mongo Bizar, and Heisenberg -- I salute you!

The group i joined up with about 10-11 years ago had already been gaming for about 10 years before i came in. We've had quite a few people come and go in the time since i've joined, but the same core of guys is still together.

My group of friends and I have been playing since sophmore year in highschool so 5 years. We've had a good time doing it. We also don't show any signs of slowing at any time.

2 years...though I am still in fairly regular (phone and e-mail) contact with people that I gamed with in the much more distant past.

Depends on the group, but the regular group I have right now averages about 4 years.

My other group has been together since highschool - 20+ years.
