How many adventures left in Shackled City

I'm a fan of larger adventures myself, but I understand that there are others who prefer quantity to quality. What about one long adventure and 2 or 3 short adventures? Would that be a happy medium?

That's a change - someone declaring their love for Eberron rather than attacking it. ;)

The amount of grief I've seen from the Miniatures crowd who don't like Eberron is...

Cheers!

I'm currently thinking that the second Adventure Path will be more of a traditional D&D quest, with the PCs engaging in some overland travel and visiting several deadly sites. One adventure might be a dungeon crawl, with a clue that leads to a shop in a distant city. One whole adventure might involve the trip from the dungeon to the city, with a couple of roleplay-intensive city adventures coming next, with another wilderness/overland adventure thereafter.

Almost every campaign involves trips from place to place, so I'd like to think that an adventure that occurs wholly "on the trail" is portable to nearly every campaign.

Please let us know when this 2nd Adventure Path will start. If I know ahead of time when the new Adventure Path starts then I can time my subscription to it.

Thanks,

Maybe because Eberron specific items are nearly useless for a majority of established gamers. The minis are best when they focus on generic figs with high amount of use in homebrews.

Erik: I do not mind a few Eberron-specific adventures in Dungeon. I would expect WOTC to strongly want them in Dungeon for marketing reasons; however, I would love to see more generic adventures that can easily fit in any game world.

I just cannot see shelling out that amount of money for an issue if it is full of campaign world-specific adventures. I have a feeling that a lot of readers will feel the same way.

Are their going to be any Forgotten Realms adventures coming up? I liked Rich Bakers one a few issues back. That and Wil Upchurch's have been the last ones IIRC. Thanks Erik

I imagine you're right. However, it makes sense that WotC would want to push Eberron right at the start, plus it's a chance for Dragon to use the new campaign setting to expand readership. Some people interested in Eberron may pick up Dungeon for the first time just to get those adventures.

Plus, even with one campaign-specific adventure in an issue (not necessarily Eberron--could be FR, etc.), there still should be two more adventures which are likely generic. So "full" of campaign world-specific adventures might be stretching it a little. I seriously doubt we'll ever see more than one Eberron adventure per issue...

Will the new adventure path actually be playable by itself as a whole compaign? What I mean is, Life's Bazaar takes characters to 3rd level, but Flood Season states it is too difficult for 3rd level characters and should be started at 4th lvl. Standing Stone takes characters to 9th lvl but Heart of Nightfang Spire starts at 10th. I'd like to not have to add in adventures and do the extra work to make some random adventure fit in to the campaign. This is one of the reasons I let my subscription lapse at 101, I couldn't run Shackled City without adding another adventure and I already had two campaigns I wanted to run that I had to do the same thing too (Freeport and the WotC Adventures).
