Hmmm... I like the idea.

I don't see cheating being worthwile, am I being obtuse?

Every free month the referrer gets, if they are cheating, costs their referred a month cause the new user will have had to sign up for at least that one month, no?

The only downside I see is the return to the highs and lows up a multimonth account cause of all the free months and upfront paid months to earn them.

Though I think if certain fraction of those new users stay subscribed it's all win.

I don't believe Morrus initially meant Community Supporters, but simply drawing new members period. CS's would be gravy. But if referred people's sign up for a CS, then that would eliminate any 'real' gaming of the system, since if you're setting up false accounts and such and paying for the referred person's CS account, all that person is doing is running two accounts and paying for one. I don't see any real benefit to doing that unless you simply wanted to be weird.

AFAIK, of the two groups I'm in currently, I'm the only poster on EnWorld. They know I post here, but they aren't message board users, for the most part.

I'm it. I tried to start a PbP on here a while back before the Great Crash, and they never logged on since. I gave up on the PbP, and I stilk post here semi-regularly and lurk.
