Relics and Rituals
Tome of Horrors

Those get the most use by me in my regular games, aside from the core books.

I would add the original Creature Collection to that, too, because it has a few of my favorite monsters. But I dont use it any more since I have access to the revised version that they will be publishing soon :)

I have the three core rulebooks. I use the three core rulebooks. I used to use the 2e Monster Manual until I got the 3e version.

Gosh, I'm dull.

Then again, I've probably got hundreds if not thousands of books for the setting I use, because it's medieval Earth. But I don't count that.

I don't see many other products that remind me of my campaign's flavour, so I don't feel the need to get them. What little stuff isn't covered by the rules I make up myself. I'm quite proud of that, actually... I've got a very weird campaign that is 90% contained in the core rulebooks.

But gosh darn it to heck, I'm dull compared to you folks.

Last time I counted I had 160 D20 books, but what I use often are the next books PHB & DMG, BoEM2, KoKpg, WoT.

But I also use as reference or info, Traps & Treachery, Occult Lore, SovStone campaign setting, Kalamar campaign setting green ronin: Shaman, Assassin, Witch and the Chaos Mage.

Out of the bookcase that is totally loaded (one of those 5-shelf Sauder assembled ones), I use about 20% on a regular basis during gaming. The core books, Epic Levels, Manual of the Planes, Mercenaries, Traps & Treachery I and II, Path of the Sword, d20 Modern, Spycraft Modern Arms Guide and FRCS get the most use. The remaining 80% is used a reference for either my writing or for ocassional use during a game (I try to use at least one new thing from that 80% in each game I run).

I use most of what I buy, at least somewhat. I guess maybe I'm just a more finicky buyer, but I don't buy something unless I can envision myself using it. I buy very little just to read.

Hmm, I use quite a bit of my collection, to run my scarred lands campaign.

Core Books (of course)
Psionics Book(One of the PC's is a Psi Warrior)
R&R I and II (Lots of the spells and magic items are used, plus I use the tables in R&R II as my main reference)
CC I and II (The occasional monster from these makes it's way in to my game.)
BOVD(this one has already been used for spells and equipment for NPC's)
Wotc * books (just the occasional feat)
Wilderness and Wastelands(I use the encounter charts quite a bit, of course I had better use this book)
PGWBS(Some of the feats and rules plus some flavor stuff have been used)
Dragon Magazine(Ideas and spells)
Scarred Lands setting material(as needed by the game)

I haven't used any of the adventures I own for anything other than idea mining. I just don't like to feel constrained in running a game.

you know, after looking at this list and realising that it compromises most of my collection, I realised that I really need more D20 stuff.

We use the three core books quite a bit. Use the Living Greyhawk Gazzetter for history stuff. Some of our characters have a feat or a magic item or a prestige class out of the splat books.

Don't use any of the other books on the shelf. They're reading material, not gaming aids. Have pretty much all of the 3e WOTC materials on the Shelf plus some miscellaneous D20 stuff.

I actively use in my campaign:

The three core books
All the Hunt: Rise of Evil setting books (that is the setting I use of course) and the material from www.huntroe.com.
Librum Equitis vol 1 & 2
Blight Magic
Wild Spellcraft
Bluffside: City on the edge
Tome of Horrors (now)
City of Freeport (occassionally when the players end up there)
CC1 & 2
Occult Lore
Path of Magic
Traps and Treachery 1 &2

I pick stuff from other titles too like:
The other Path books by FFG
Relics and Rituals 1&2
The Mongoose quint line
A few others I am forgetting....

The three Core Rulebooks
The Kalamar Player's Guide & Campaign Setting
All of the WotC class books (S&F, DotF, T&B, S&S, MotW)
The Quintessential series by Mongoose
Occasionally items like BoEM2, Traps & Treachery, Creature Collection, MM2, Relics & Rituals, Occult Lore, etc.
And each player in our game has one or two issues of Dragon that we keep handy for various character/NPC concept ideas.
