How many orcs does it take to guard a pie?

Adventurer
A) 1 orc
B) 1 orc, but his nocturnal pie baking clan has 1d4 non combatants, and 1-2 guard animals.
C) 1 orc but he has levels of barbarian and 2 templates
D) 4 orc drudge minions

It's interesting to see how things have changed over the editions. I'm not sure that I see the humor, though. Do I have to hate 4e in order to find this humorous? :confused:

I don't hate 4e, and I thought it was funny.
 


Depends. By "guard" do you mean "prevent PCs from eating", or do you mean "act as a level-appropriate appetizer"?

Orcs would never guard a pie. If it was worth eating, there would be none left. If it wasn't, they'd be too busy cooking the chef up instead. ...if they are the polite kind of orcs, that is, the ones that bother killing and cooking a meal before consuming it.
