How many people have used the Iconics, in game?

Most of my players probably wouldn't recognize the names if I used them. They get a lot of talk on the WotC and ENWorld message boards but they basically don't exist at our table. If the PHB had all of their stat blocks in it as examples, then a couple of my players (and fellow DMs) might have noticed them. But whenever I slip into board-speak and mention the term Iconics, I draw blank stares.

How about the time the girls had a girls night out and Mialee got busted for bathing nude in the fountain at city hall ? Those kinds of stories ?
She was lucky I was there to vouch for her upstanding moral fortitude to the authorities for her.
I was aghast when she started to disrobe and enter the pulsing fountain.
I instantly turned red with embarassment for her lapse of propriety.

I've tried to teach her the virtuous ways of a woman, but the lessons seem to be lost on her chaotic, elven, fiery, passionate.. (oh, where was I?) blood.

And only because the wizard is an elf, he doesn't have to be bland. I could play a dozen different elven wizards in row (even without changing subraces or using non-core material) and have a dozen totally different characters.

Please note that I didn't claim ALL elven wizards (or dwarven fighters, or half-orc barbarians) to be mind-numbingly generic. I just feel that none of the iconics have any personality or soul whatsoever. Even the commoners in most adventures feel more real than Regdar or Jozan.

I haven't read the books featuring the Iconics, but of course they have no great personality in the Core Books. They aren't supposed to. They're just there to show us how a dwarven fighter etc looks

I read the first Iconics book, which was not very good, but Lidda was a riot, brimming with personality!

I used the Iconics as a rival adventuring party; the type of guys you love to hate because the town always treats them like movie-stars whilst the unexperienced PCs struggled to get the barkeeps attention. Then eventually the party got a kick out of finally overshadowing the Iconics popularity.

It's convenient to use the Iconics because the players get an instant mental picture of who they're talking to.
