Well, counting the three editions of (A)D&D as one... 13. D&D, Spycraft, Call of Cthulhu D20, Star Wars D20, Werewolf: the Wild West, Godlike, GURPS, Warhammer Fantasy Role-Play, Feng Shui, Ars Magica, Babylon 5 D20, and Sláine, and Praedor.

Hmm. Thirteen is an unlucky number. I must buy another game to round it out.

I counted seven on my shelf, though five are WotC d20 games, one's a non-WotC d20 game, and three are d20 quasi-medieval fantasy.

3e & 3.5e D&D (counted as one)
d20 Wheel of Time
Arcana Unearthed
d20 Modern
d20 Star Wars
d20 Call of Cthulu
Angel RPG (Unisystem)

I only have four.

D&D
Call of Cthulhu (BRP)
Pendragon
Hero System

I also own heroquest/advanced heroquest/warhammer quest, but I don't consider those RPGs.

I count 5, myself.

The World of Darkness, in its various incarnations.
D&D, in various incarnations.
In Nomine
Legend of the 5 Rings.
Star Wars

I believe that's it; however, my books are in a constant state of disarray, so I may have missed some that I've never really played/thought of in forever.

Some might consider some of those World of Darkness and D&D versions to be distinct, but I don't necessarily. If so, however, that expands my collection by possibly another 6 or so different RPG's.

If you count multiple editions seperately, 67 RPGs.

If you count multiple editions as one, 60 RPGs.

Then again, I've been gaming since 1977.

Edit:Added more I completely forgot...

Lessee:

  1. Basic D&D
  2. D&D 1E
  3. D&D 2E
  4. D&D 3E
  5. GURPS
  6. d20 Modern
  7. Feng Shui
  8. Mutants and Masterminds
  9. Lost Souls
  10. Mechwarrior
  11. Star Wars d20
  12. Star Wars D6
  13. Shadowrun
  14. Spycraft
  15. Continuum (Aetherco's)
  16. Hackmaster
  17. Call of Cthulhu d20
  18. Call of Cthulhu BRP
  19. Alternity
  20. Arcana Unearthed
  21. Vampire the Masquerade

And that's just what's sitting NEXT to me! Much less PDF's (I have Harn, Earthdawn, and old Ars Magica on PDF, thanks to recent giveaways), books in storage, etc. so 20 to 30 is a safe estimate. Heck, I've given away

Marvel Super Heroes (the FEAT system version)
Indiana Jones
James Bond system
Gamma World 1st and 4th AND 5th edition
Buck Rogers XXVc

plus FAR more than I care to remember or mention!

Well, OD&D and 3.0 D&D; Mage & Changeling; GURPS, Agone, Blue Planet, Ars Magica (1st-4th ed), Aria, Star Trek (FASA, LUG, Decipher), Powers & Perils, It Came From the Late, Late, Late Show, 7th Sea, Over The Edge, Paranoia (2nd and 5th ed), Nephilim, RuneQuest (2nd ed), Bloodshadows, TORG, Everway, Pendragon (at least 2 eds), Rolemaster, Traveller (LBB), Champions, Fading Suns, Mechanical Dreams, Sengoku ...

...there might be a few more hidden in closets...

Now how do I count different editions? And how do I count OGL games like Fading Suns D20 (as opposed to Fading Suns). Are we counting different editions?

At least 29, possibly as high as 45, depending on your counting system.

Wow. There are some oldies still on the shelf..

Gangbusters
Jorune
Cyborg Commando (autographed by EGG and FM)
GammaWorld all 4 editions
Top Secret
Spycraft
Call of Chuthulu d20
D&D all editions including red and blue boxed
Star Wars
Red Dwarf
Sidewinder
d20 Modern

Jorune. What a crack up. What a peice of crap.
