how many have i ever owned, or own right now? i've gotten rid of more game systems in the past than i currently keep around.

on my shelf right now, i count at least 26. the list of all the RPGs i've ever owned would easily be double that.

on the other hand, there's only about 3 or 4 that i currently have any interest in actually playing. the rest i just keep around as reading material or due to nostalgia.

I think I have about six bookshelves of them. :)

I've been collecting since 1978.

I've never seen a larger colledtion of RPG products. I've heard about them, but never seen one. RPG books are pretty much the only full price books I buy anymore. The largest single group of gaming products I own would be D&D in all of its incarnations.

For the purpose of writing my response to the "how many monster books do you own?" poll I went to my RPG shelf and counted the RPGs. Eighteen! Not counting different edition of Vampire, ForeSight. and Hero System as different games. And I am by no means a collector.

It all depends on how you count things. If anything d20 is considered one type of rpg, so I have three different: chaosium Call of Cthulhu, d20/D&D, and Dream of Dragon (an old small rpg I never played but kept because of originality). Now, among d20 stuff I own several: d20 CoC, T20, SWd20, D20 Modern, and d20 Slaine, plus of course D&D.

D&D, D20 Modern (own it but will probably never use it), and Alternity (yes I still have it even though again I'll probably never play it). That's it.

I used to have the first edition of D20 Star Wars but gave that away; and I used to own some older games like Top Secret, Gamma World, and Star Frontiers but don't have those around any more.
