Not really. What you describe below is pure metagaming based on player knowledge of the D&D rules and common ways to exploit them to your advantage, not what could be considered typical in-character knowledge of any sort. "Magic Users behave this way in D&D!" isn't in-character knowledge. No reaching needed.

Also you Layer up those Dimension Achors. This way a single dispel magic ONLY can strip one of the spells at a time unless the caster want to target HIMSELF with the dispel, automaticly dispelling every spell he has cast on himself in the process.
