how might i solve this puzzle?

the waterskin into the fountain trick has been tried
it repels the water even if it's in a skin
for some reason i could stick my head in with water in my mouth but i couldn't spit it out (maybe it got pushed to the back of my throat)

i attacked the fountain. it's magical diamond of some sort
i can't steal the fountain either because i can't get it up
i may try to steal it and the floor around it before i leave
i think "darkness" was just the password to get the wall of force to come down...though it won't reactivate the wall
i'll see about putting cloaks around it
freezing it a good idea too

What if you enter the area previously hedged out by the wall of force and say "light" or "lightness" (bright, sun, radiance, etc...)

Slice your hand open then dip your injured hand into the fountain - feel better? And then if you are feeling especially brave, kill someone and throw them in to see if they will be revived. It could be a valuable find you have, and could be a spring of immortality.

in fact, summon a formian worker and chuck it into the fountain.

if that don't work, tap your "Murderin' Axe" on the ground in front of your DM until he has you guys roll INT checks to realize what to do.

Maybe the diamond focuses the light of a light spell through the water, revealing who knows what.
