Time actually spent at the table playing the game: 3-4 hours twice a month.

Time spent preparing for those twice-monthly sessions: Probably 3-4 hours a week, not including time spent with my nose in a book (novel, history, geography, &c.) - since just about anything I read gives me ideas for my games, that's another five or six hours each week of peripherally game-related time as well.

At the table? 4-6 hrs a week.

In my head? As long as I'm awake, and often a couple hours more than that :)

erm at table 5-9 hrs as a player
when I was running - 8-10 hrs
otherwise as above

I only get to play 12+ hrs if at conventions, where less than 12 is a personal defeat.
The wife and I comprimised at 1 night gaming per week, when I was working, now that I am doing grad school more than one night a week would be basicaly impossible.

Had to go with less than 4. I only get to game about once a month, sometimes twice. So, if we break it down into weeks, I probably get about 2-3 hours of gaming per week.

Per week? :confused:

Averaged out, I suppose I can vote "less than 4 hours". (The actual value is one session lasting about 8 hours every 2 weeks.)

I game approximately 6 to 7 hours per week, three out of four weekends a year. All told, I probably spend between 270 and 300 hours per year gaming.

A more useful poll would be:

How many weeks do you generally go at a time between game sessions?

* 1
* 2-3
* 4-5
* 6-8
* 9+

Le sigh...

At the table? 3+ hours -- every Tuesday, 7-10 pm, pushing to 11 pm if I can get away with it on occasion.

My prep time is about the same amount of time, maybe more.

Every other Monday, 6-10 pm. But I put in at least 6-8 hours a week on prep time, although I didn't count that for the poll. So I'm looking at 12-16 hours prep and research for every 4 hours at the table.
